On Thursday evening, the power supply failed for around one hour in parts of Vienna's 2nd district, leaving around 200 households and the Praterstern station without electricity.
Cause and course of the outage
According to the information provided, the outage began on Thursday at around 5:13 p.m. in parts of Leopoldstadt. According to reports, the area around Praterstern and Große Stadtgutgasse was particularly affected.
In addition to private households, with reports speaking of around 200 affected connections, the Praterstern station also reported a power outage. As a result, lighting, passenger information systems, and parts of the technical infrastructure at the heavily frequented hub temporarily failed.
