On Monday, July 6, 2026, a power outage lasting approximately one hour occurred in parts of the city of Salzburg at around 12:15 p.m., with around 350 grid customers still affected at its peak, according to Salzburg AG.
According to the energy provider, the cause of the outage was a damaged 10-kV underground cable near Fanny-von-Lehnert-Straße. The damage cut power in the districts of Elisabethvorstadt and Lehen, as Salzburg AG announced.

Roughly one hour after the start of the disruption, at around 1:15 p.m., power supply was fully restored, according to the company. This meant all affected customers were back on the grid within a short period.
