Kyiv, June 05, 2026
A Russian drone attack hit a food production facility in the Brovary district near Kyiv during the night into Friday, killing at least four people.
According to the governor of the Kyiv region, Mykola Kalaschnyk, the drones struck the food plant, which primarily produced milk products for infants. Parts of the building were destroyed, and a fire broke out in an administrative building. Rescue workers were still engaged in recovery efforts in the morning, and two more people are believed to still be under the rubble.
Scale of Drone Attacks
The attack is one of the most severe drone attacks in recent weeks. The Ukrainian army announced that it had registered a total of 216 Russian drones during the night, 198 of which were intercepted. This means the wave of attacks reached a scale that pushed the country's air defenses to the limits of their capabilities.
