A six-year-old girl was struck by a car and seriously injured on Friday on the municipal road Natterer See in the Tyrolean municipality of Natters.
After the collision in the late afternoon, the child received initial medical care and was subsequently airlifted to the Innsbruck clinic by helicopter, according to police. No information on the girl's exact health condition was available as of the evening.
The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Austrian, was traveling on the municipal road at Natterer See at the time of the accident. Based on the current state of the investigation, there is no indication of a suspected hit-and-run or alcohol involvement, as reported by police at the scene.
