Attacks on the civilian population

Ukraine continued its drone attacks on Russian territory. Russia reported the interception of 419 Ukrainian drones. In the Moscow region, a baby was killed, according to authorities. The reports from both warring parties cannot be independently verified.

Following Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy facilities, the Kremlin confirmed talks on possible fuel imports from abroad. The background to this is supply shortages and rising fuel prices in several Russian regions. The Kremlin rejects Ukrainian proposals and insists on the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from four regions.

Military aid from Europe

Denmark announced an additional military aid package worth approximately 589 million euros. Poland ruled out further deliveries of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine for the time being. The European Union meanwhile began disbursing 3.9 billion euros for drones, ammunition, missiles, and air defense systems for Ukraine.

Ukraine is receiving initial funds for drone procurement from the EU's 90 billion euro support loan. This is to finance drones, ammunition, and air defense systems. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius meanwhile emphasized: "Nato kann sich auf europäische Alliierte verlassen."
