Tel Aviv, June 12, 2026
In Tel Aviv, on June 12, 2026, tens of thousands of people took to the streets at the Pride parade along the beach promenade of the Israeli coastal city, demonstrating for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people.
It was the first Pride parade in Tel Aviv since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. In 2024, the event had been canceled because of the Gaza war and the hostage-taking of numerous Israelis by Hamas. "Back then, there was a memorial ceremony instead to commemorate the victims of the Hamas assault on Israel on October 7, 2023."
In the previous year, the parade had also been canceled just a few hours before the scheduled start. At that time, the then-ongoing Iran war had prevented it from going ahead. "Last year, the world-famous event was canceled only a few hours before it was due to begin because of the Iran war at the time."
