A multi-ton boulder broke loose from a slope during a storm in Starzach in the Tübingen district, smashed through the roof of a residential house, and came to rest on the top floor.
The rock broke loose from a slope, smashed through the roof, and came to rest on the top floor of the house. As a spokesperson for the responsible district administration office said, according to the current state of knowledge, no one was injured in the incident. The boulder was still inside the building on Thursday, the spokesperson added.
Storm caused damage throughout the region
On Wednesday, a powerful storm moved through Starzach and the surrounding Tübingen district. Fire brigades were called out to around 40 operations. The main issues were flooded basements and trees that had fallen onto roads.
