Graz, 12 August 2026
At the end of the Ferragosto weekend, ÖAMTC and ARBÖ expect congestion and slow-moving traffic on several Styrian motorway sections on 12 August 2026.
The Hotspots at a Glance
ÖAMTC and ARBÖ have identified a series of specific congestion points along Styria's transit routes for 12 August 2026. On the A2 South Motorway, the construction zone at Modriach–Packsattel is a critical bottleneck. The A9 Pyhrn Motorway is considered particularly prone to congestion due to the Bosruck and Gleinalm tunnels, as well as around the Spielfeld border crossings.
Delays are also expected on the A10 Tauern Motorway, according to ÖAMTC and ARBÖ. Areas mentioned include the stretches before the toll stations and tunnels, as well as the construction sections Flachauwinkel–Golling and the greater Spittal an der Drau area. The Karawanken Tunnel on the A11 intensifies the bottleneck towards Carinthia.
