At the NATO summit in Ankara, US President Donald Trump confused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin and referred to Iran as the "Islamic Republic of Japan."

At the NATO summit in Ankara, Trump addressed Zelenskyy with the words: "Do you have a question for President Putin?" The Ukrainian president, who was standing next to him on stage, reacted diplomatically and quipped in response: "I'm better." Later, Trump asked the assembled journalists once again whether they had a "question for President Putin," gesturing toward Zelenskyy seated beside him.
