According to their own statements, Ukrainian drone troops attacked 90 ships in the Sea of Azov over the past week, severely affecting the supply of the Crimean peninsula occupied by Russia.

The attacks, whose scale is said to be increasing daily according to Ukrainian accounts, are directed primarily against Russian cargo ships, the majority of them tankers and some ferries. Over the weekend alone, the drone troops command reported attacks on 42 ships. The Ukrainian military leadership spoke altogether of 90 ships hit within a week, some of which were attacked multiple times.

As the Reuters agency learned from trading circles, Russia blocked passage from the Don into the Sea of Azov indefinitely on Friday evening for security reasons. Within a few days, ship traffic across the Sea of Azov and onward through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea has collapsed completely. At the same time, the bridge over the Kerch Strait has been closed to heavy traffic for security reasons.
