An APA spokesperson said regarding the extent of the property damage: "Der Schaden muss erst ermittelt werden". Police are currently examining whether the incidents involve a connected group of perpetrators. Tips from the public are intended to help identify the offenders.

Investigations and Appeal

The theft investigation unit, also known as the Kremser Group, is coordinating the inquiries. Police emphasize that any observation of damaged locks or suspicious traces of liquid should be reported, even if no burglary has yet taken place.

The warning is explicitly directed at all residents who notice traces on their front doors. Police recommend not touching the liquid, avoiding the area, and immediately calling the emergency number. Tips regarding suspicious persons or vehicles near residential buildings are also important for investigators.
