A 29-year-old canyoning guide was injured in an accident in the Alpenrosenklamm in Haiming in Tyrol (district of Imst) late on Monday morning, after falling around seven meters into the depths.
In the accident late on Monday morning, the 29-year-old canyoning guide fell about seven meters onto a rocky surface in the Alpenrosenklamm, a gorge in the municipal area of Haiming in the district of Imst. The man sustained injuries, the exact severity of which cannot be determined beyond the information available. Following the rescue operation, the injured man was taken to the Innsbruck clinic.
The Alpenrosenklamm, also referred to locally as the Haiminger Klamm, is a well-known canyoning gorge in the Tyrolean Oberland. Gorges of this kind are regularly traversed in summer by guided groups and individual guests under professional supervision, with jumps into pools, slides, and rope-secured abseiling points all part of the character of the tours.
