The total burned area was reported to be more than 2,600 hectares.
This puts the 2025 figure far above the long-term average of 844 hectares for the period from 1991 to 2024. "Nur in den Jahren 1992, 2019 und 2022 sei noch mehr Wald betroffen gewesen als 2025", the statistics state. The number of fires themselves, at 1,175, roughly corresponds to the average of recent years – from 1991 to 2024, that average was 1,139 fires.
