Small aircraft crashed into a field near Uetersen – Police confirm crash

The Braunschweig Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation is taking over the investigation into the cause of the accident following the incident. This federal facility is responsible in Germany for the investigation of aircraft accidents and serious incidents in civil aviation.

According to police, the area around the crash site was cordoned off so that rescue workers and investigators could work without obstruction. Eyewitnesses in the vicinity of the airfield reported that they had heard the impact from a distance.
