Two boys aged five and six fell from a bridge into a stream on Saturday afternoon in Hinterriß, in the Tyrolean municipality of Vomp, while on their way to the Eng Alm.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon on a bridge along the hiking trail to the Eng Alm, according to police. According to the Jenbach Police Inspectorate, the six-year-old boy slipped through the railing of the bridge and fell approximately three meters into a stream, sustaining injuries to his head and hand. A "Heli 3" emergency medical helicopter transported the child to the University Hospital in Innsbruck.
At the same time, a five-year-old boy fell from the downstream section of the bridge, "an welchem sich kein Geländer befand," the officers of the Jenbach Police Inspectorate stated. The five-year-old child sustained minor injuries as a result.
